Dell goes green with a new backlit LCD monitor using less than 1/2 standard LCD screen power and 1/10th what a 17" CRT would use which will certainly do its part to lower your monthly power bill if you sit in front of the computer all day long. Among the energy-saving features available are an ambient light sensor which will adjust the brightness level accordingly, a sleep mode that sips a mere 0.15W of power when connected using a VGA input, and the use of arsenic-free glass with no mercury, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic or Brominated Flame Retardants (BFRs) during the manufacturing process. Specifications-wise, the Dell G2410H LCD monitor will come with 1,920 x 1,080 True HD resolution, 250cd/m2 brightess and a 1,000:1 static contrast ratio.

Expect to fork out $339 for this puppy.
